My Mac Won't Start Up
It sometimes happens that a Mac cannot be turned on after a power event such as a power surge or outage. The solution may require resetting the PMU (Power Management Unit). Try these steps:
- Unplug all the cables from the back of the computer (Power, Network, Keyboard/Mouse, Any other cables that may be connected)
- Hold down the power button for 15 seconds
- Reconnect all the cables
- Turn on the Computer
Be sure you unplug all the cables connected to the computer and that you hold the power button in for a full 15 seconds. If this step doesn’t work, then ask for tech support.
