Welcome to Mrs. Carr’s Reading Room!

I am very excited about the school year and am happy to be working with kids to help them make improvements in reading.  I have 25 years teaching experience, with eight of those years teaching 1^st grade, two years teaching 2^nd grade, eight years teaching 3^rd grade, four years as a reading coach, two years as an instructional coach, and one year teaching middle school math.  My degree is in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood. I have my Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist.  I live in Ada with my husband Theron, our 18 year old son Gavin (who is attending college at OSU-IT), our cat Sophia, and our six chickens: Nora, Pearl, B-Dubbs, Georgia, Wanda, and Aunt Bee.
