CS 1 is a high school course in computer science in which we broadly cover:

  • How to utilize the technology available at our school (Google Apps)
    • Gmail
    • Docs
    • Drive
    • Calendar
    • Classroom
  • Computer terminology and general knowledge of computers
  • Computational thinking
  • The principles of programming
    • Algorithms
    • Programming
    • Data Structures
    • Internet

We will use the programming languages of BASIC, Pyton, and Swift while designing code. Internet topics include HTML and CSS. Some of the resources we draw upon for our class are Code.org, Code Academy, and Google Apps.
