One of the local events for which Konawa is well known is the "Oklahoma All Night Gospel Singing" which has been held here for 41 years. The original sponsor of this event was the Quiennion Sharver family.

Gospel singing fans, this is an event you don't want to miss. Randall Christy, with the Gospel Radio Station in Ada, will schedule the program. Admission for each person is five dollars. The concession will be provided by the Konawa Lions Club.

The 2005 Gospel Singing will be on the first Saturday in August, the 6th, and will be held from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Featured at the Singing will be: Kevin Spencer and Friends, Charles Johnson and teh Revivers, Southern Sonlight, and The Homesteaders. There will probably be one other nationally known group, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
