The Konawa Fire Deartment is conducting a subscription drive for the year of 2006. The Benefit to you is the Fire Department will not bill you for any amount above what your insurance pays. The benefit to the Fire Department is funds fo pay for operating cost and purchase new equipment to better serve the patrons of the Konawa Rural Fire response area.

As of now the Fire Department charges $150.00 per truck, with some bills reaching $600.00+, and with fuel costs rising the charges will have to be raised.

Reponse area is between these boundaries. East of North South 348/South of East West 136/west of North South 359/North of the South Canadian River.

Residents within the city limits of Konawa pay for fire service through their property taxes but a subscription could also benefit you in the event of a vehical accident within the rural response area.

An open house will take place on Saturday January 21st from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Konawa Fire Station 125 North Broadway. Please bring your insurance information and your 911 address along with your $60.00 at this time so we can get it on file.
