Celebrate with us! Our class made the Reading Renaissance National Honor Roll! We worked hard and read a lot and answered questions on quizzes. We had to keep our book level up, percentage correct at 90% or above and reach a certain number of points for each session and WE DID IT! Congratulation class. This week we begin our regular reading lessons. On a five-day week, your child will bring home their hardback reader on Tuesdays and Thursdays to read the main story. They will read the stories on the back of the Homework Sheet Mondays and Wednesdays.
Please have your child read the story to you or another adult or older child. It is very, very important that they get a chance to read aloud in order to become a proficient reader.
Also, take time to sign the Homework when your child finishes. You will find the homework sheet in your child’s homework folder. This should be brought to school everyday. Also, take time to read stories of your choosing to your child. Children love to be read to by their parents.
