Social Media – added Karis Reavis as an administrator for the Konawa School FaceBook page. Also assigned Kim Wilson and Andy Gower as editors.
E-Rate – working on RFP. Talked to Jennifer and Mai at Kellogg and Sovereign regarding maintenance request and equipment inventory. Trying to figure out what to do since much of our equipment is about to be replaced.
E-Rate – worked with the wiring crew from Beasley Communications on adding new APs in middle school and high school. Note: stayed after school with them until 6:30 PM so that I could lockup the buildings.
Jalean Hamilton – reported a “green light” on one of the computers in the elementary. I wasn’t able to go over there today, but asked her to let me know what lab and which computer so I can check it tomorrow. Sounds like an active camera light.
Elementary – talked with Baraccuda Networkworks tech support regarding filtering image searches. They sent documentation for SSL certificates that have to be installed on all browsers on all computers.
RecTec – verified PO 2017-21-51 for work completion.
OneNet – completed Service Order Agreement from OneNet and submitted PO to Mr. Gower for router rental. Note: this will be included on the RFP for our next E-Rate cycle, but we have to pay $89 per month until then.
Kim Wilson – reported a web content filtering issue. We worked together on finding a resolution.
District – communicated with OneNet and Kellogg & Sovereign regarding renting a managed router from OneNet. Downloaded “Services Order Form and Agreement” from OneNet and sent an email to Andy Gower with cost information and asked him for permission to fill out a PO and complete the agreement form.
E-Rate – working on RFP for next year.
